In Control Panel / Power Options / Choose what the power button does, the options are 'Do nothing', 'Shut down' and 'Turn off the display'. There is no option to 'Sleep'.I also tried going into the specific power plan's 'Advanced Settings / Power buttons and lid / Power button action / On battery' and the same three options are there but no Sleep option.Found this:but when I click 'Change settings that are currently unavailable' the link disappears and nothing additional appears. The shutdown settings continue to have only the 'Lock' option.OK, well, it seems that if you disable Connected Standby (which I did):HKLMSystemCurrentControlSetControlPowerCsEnabledyou lose the Sleep option. Doh.Never mind:-PMod's Edit: System model added to front of Subject line to improve visibility / clarity.
