Our wiki should be a resource that every one of our users can go to when they need help, for bugs, or mods, or anything about Oblivion. At the moment it is sorely lacking, and we'd like to remedy that.If you want to help us out, please send us a message so we can add you as a contributor! If we see you commenting thoughtfully, we'll probably send you a message first, but unfortunately we don't see everyone. Being a contributor even has a few special perks, but they're a secret for the moment. Again, this is a resource the entire community should be able to learn from, and we really need your help.Thanks.Related Subreddits.Regarding Bugs:Quite often on this sub we get users who ask for help for bugs, or with mods, that have been solved before. To reduce this clutter, we have a link search filter.
To save everyone some time, try searching for bugs that might be similar to any you are having. Remember to add keywords if your problem is a specific one.Spoiler Tags:Please add spoiler tags if you're talking about the events of the game.

Oblivion Hdr Vs Bloom Vs Antialiasing
This doesn't sound good for my system. (I was worried about that)The 3 of us have similar rig specs.Well those are much better frame rates then I was getting on Morrowind on a G2 64mb, 384 SD ram and 1ghz cpu. Back then It would dip to 3-4 frames a secound in Balmoral and while in the country side it would freeze every 5 secs for a sec if I was running. It is very playable on my rig and I don't even have the CPU overclocked anymore. The only thing I cranked up was the resolution, to 1280x1024, I got HDR on and I may have fiddled with some other things but I can't remember what they are. So many options. In fact, when I go through a door there is a screen that comes up while the next room is loading, but with my rig the room loads so fast I can't even read what it says. I only know that it has to do with OBlivion lore of some sort.edit: HEy I just looked at our computers and I got the crappiest one.
I won't let me do this, anyone know why? How can I get HDR with Anti Aliasing?I am using Radeon HD 5850.Also, what is the best graphics mod for this game? I want it to look as good as possible.
After seeing this thread I turned off HDR and just left it at Bloom with no AA. My frames skyrocketed and haven't had a hitch yet. Looks the same to me, but I don't know what HDR is.I don't know what it is either but it makes the scenery reminesent of that King Kong game that's why I like it. Bloom looks all wash out out, at least to me but I can live with 25-35 frames a sec but I haven't seen a big town yet I remember in Balmoral (Morrowind) on my old rig, 2 or 3 rigs ago actually, I would get 3-5 frames a sec. I prefere playing with bloom + 4xAA.
Hdr Vs Bloom Oblivion 3
HDR is not that much better at the moment than bloom. My opinion is that playing without AA is going back in time. It just doesn't look nice. I refuse to play any game without AA.My rig:X2-4200+ / 2GB Kingston HyperX / 1900XTX / 2 x 250GB Western Digital Raid0 / Maxtor 200GB / Maxtor 250GB / Tagan 530Watt / Asus A8n-SliI play Oblivion with every setting maxed out, except some shadow settings at medium. 1280x1024+bloom+AAGreetzI hate you. Please send me your computer.
